After viewing "A Single Man" and "The King's Speech", I am now officially elevating Colin Firth to the status of Deity.

I have always loved his work. Now, he is truly astounding me.

Could not agree harder. Which reminds me, I have GOT to get to Target to buy The King's Speech. Not many DVDs require purchasing in my view, but that one does.

I want to see "The King's Speech"!Colin Firth always takes roles in classy movies. With most actors I like they do one good movie or series, and the rest of their movies are embarrassing, and I have to weigh whether I really like the actor enough to watch what I know will be a bad movie, and if I do watch the movie, I spend the whole time feeling sorry for the actor in question.

Heh, heh!

Yes, I remember my brother noting for that role that Firth acts more without saying a word than most people can pull off with major speeches. And I started noticing it after that. I thought he was just amazing in A Single Man for the same reason.
