Diagnosis: not fibromyalgia, but a non-specified autoimmune syndrome, inflammation of the connective tissues and muscles, possibly even rheumatoid arthritis.

I guess three months on FMS medicine was a waste of time.

Anyone want to buy some books on fibromyalgia?  *snort*

This must be so frustrating for you. I hope they have the right diagnosis now and don't change it yet again. Do they at least have a new treatment plan for you? I hope you're feeling better. *hugs*

Yep, but medication is dependent on blood test results. I have some holistic and nutritional options to pursue.

Hmmmm. "Non-specified" leaves a little something to be desired, doesn't it? Well, I'm glad it's not fibromyalgia, and I hope it's not rheumatoid arthritis. Did the doctor suggest there's any treatment that might lead to long-term relief?

The non-specific doesn't concern me too much because it's very possible to have a system-wide inflammation going on. In fact, I sort of suspect that's what I have.

Based on blood test results, I might go on a new medication. I'm getting a lot of relief from steroids at the moment, but I cannot stay on them long term, so that would be good. I was also given a lot of resources for holistic and nutritional therapies. I was given a swimming assignment as physical therapy. Overall, I was very happy with this doc.

Well, that's good news!

I hope that the collective treatment strategies will be really effective for you.
