The moment of truth

Grades weren't supposed to come out until Thursday, but thanks to our wonderfully inept computer people (and a little help from flameth), I found my grade entered prematurely into my academic transcript.
The moment of truth... )

Congrats! And as I'm reading your paper, I can see why.

Thanks. Aww, shucks... *blushes* The paper wasn't that good... obviously, she must've liked my final, to pull a pretty solid A- up to a solid A.

The paper makes it clear that you know your stuff. It shows a good grasp of the underlying thinking of the time surrounding the war. I'm only a little more than halfway through and can already see that.

Oh, and later I plan on picking your brain regarding something I've often wondered but shied away from discussing with others. Given your knowledge of the period, I think you might be objective enough to approach it from an intellectual rather than emotional angle - something very needed for the topic.

Thanks. :-) Sure, pick away. This is My Thing. I can be objective, but I can also be emotional. ;-) (See me complaining about things here. That's not very objective. Where are you from, anyway? Texas? Are you from there originally?)

Thanks for all the prayers and the confidence. :-) Full circle, indeed. I was thinking about that earlier, before I even got this.

Well, we have kinda been talking a lot lately about how things are now compared to the way they were two years ago (or even a year ago). Great minds think alike and all that. *grins*
