While I think my very limited list of foods is well documented here, it occurs to me that I may not have written nearly enough about my love of different beverages. As most of you already know, my wife is pregnant. She had her 12 week doctor visit on Monday, and some sort of sonogram/ultrasound procedure was included in the visit. I arranged to leave work early and checked it out. It was actually really cool. Even though it's early, the arms, legs, spine, jaw, and other major elements of a person are forming. ( Read more... )

Civil rights pioneer Oliver Hill died this past week. I saw nothing about it until this weekend, which is a real pity.

* Our cat Drusilla apparently thinks her name is Darla (the name of our other cat). I have suspected this for a while, but we did some experiments tonight that confirm my suspicion.
