What you said...and I don't even mind the echoes of NYPDBlue. They've got the style of this kind of show down, with everyone pretty low key, just doing their jobs...until, of course, you have to scramble for your gun!
I didn't watch the Sopranos, but as I've said, I wasn't a fan of what I had seen of MI...but I am in love with this character.
Are you friends with jesshelga? She and I are loving Detroit 1-8-7 and most especially Mahajan. She has even done some niiiiiiiiice pic posts. He is so fine.
This whole show is in the vein of *cop shoes*, not procedurals. It's about the cops and their reactions to the cases, not the cases. It's like NYPD Blue, and Homicide, and Third Watch, and even all the way back to Hill Street Blues. I love it so much!!
The part that got me in last night's ep was Fitch splashing his face with water and the usual ambiguous expression on his face. I imagine between hearing Sanchez announce she's focusing on her career and the too-close-to-home murder committed by the guy who had strong, misguided feelings about the woman he murdered had a lot to do with it. But who knows (which is the part I love about him).
As for this: If Det. Meldrick Lewis and my Inappropriate Office Crush defied human biology and had a love child, he would be it. ::swoon::
Oh, mercy, MELDRICK! It's true, he shares a lot with Meldrick Lewis!

Hee hee! You know that line when Longford says to Washington regarding Mahajan, "I'm not taking credit for that mess," and they cut to Mahajan taking that phone call from Nanna and being completely befuddled, I swear I stopped breathing and said "MELDRICK LIVES!"
