So much good stuff, some really bad stuff

Okay, I went on a two day movie watching jag after my copies of Hot Fuzz, 300 and Pathfinder, the unrated version, came in.  Unrated just means more guts, btw, not more man ass.

Pathfinder sucked as bad as they said it did and no amount of KU ass could make up for the dead dull and predictable storyline, but the dude who played his dad?  Hot!

Ah ok, I wrote down the recs, just in case hubby asks if I am interested to watch with him. I have the book Perfume of Patrick Süskind on my bookshelf for a while now (as in for years). It was immensely popular at school to read for the literature booklist (Dutch and German), but for some reason I never read the book. Maybe I should and see the movie after that. I can't recall if I ever saw Memento though. Hmmm, it rings a bell somewhere, but I gotta ask hubby.. again. Could you tell a bit more about First Snow (of you don't mind)? :)

Too bad Pathfinder is so bad... poor Karl.

Oh yeah, honey. Here's the trailer for it. I'm not really sure where it was going cuz I lost it before I found out, but it's about a travelling salesman who goes to this creepy fortune teller guy and he has a weird premonition and stuff, lol. Informative, ain't I. Anyway, here's a link to the trailer for that one.

Eugh, I wanted to see that trailer, but AOL said: you don't live here (kinda). I did find the trailer (after Quicktime needed to be updated to a newer version, shut down all programs and in the mean time Kevin handed me Bambi 2 quite insistently ;) ). Looks like a great movie though *adds First Snow to a to watch list*. Anyway, I feel like I am the last one, but I finally saw the 300 last night (HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!).

You're the second person this week who has recommended Night Watch. I'll try to get hold of the book.

Hot Fuzz was just beyond words hilarious. I went through half a puffer of ventilin while watching it and walked out of the theatre shaking as though I'd have taken ACME(TM) earthquake pills. The same people made Shaun of the Dead.

I want to see Stardust. There's not much else out there that's catching my attention right now, except maybe yet another remake of Beowulf.

Stardust is very high on my to watch list. I saw the promotional posters hanging on the cinema this week (Robert DeNiro is in it wee!) which made me go all yay. Mirrormask will be watched one of these days (another movie based on a Neil Gaiman work), another tip.

I haven't heard of Mirrormask before. I'll look for it now. Thanks for the tip, Rhaps!

We've got the BBC version of Neverwhere. The Marquis the Carabas is absolutely perfect.
