[Bass was bored and thus has broken into and hacked a good handful of the games in the arcade. Now, the character will end up dying at very inopportune times for the player, and in extremely nonsensical ways.

He'll be hanging out to witness the fruits of his labor.]

[Kage's got some free time, and for some reason he's in the mood for the all-time arcade favourite, the immortal Trooper Blario Mothers. So he wanders on in, cigarette in his mouth and on over to the game station. Sure, officially he's here to make sure the games are in good repair and the arcade is in good order, but Redd will forgive him for playing a few rounds, right?

Kage is good at the game--until Luigia's head explodes when she grabs a powerup.

Kage blinks, restarts the level, choosing to play Prince Plum instead of Luigia.

Prince Plum sails through the first and easiest level, until spontaneously kneeling down and committing ritual suicide. ]

[Oh boy, this is even better than he'd thought it would be. Bass ambles up behind Kage and peers around his shoulder at Prince Plum as he bleeds out.] Wow...didn't know they did that.

Ze-shat!

[Kage whips around, stepping back and one hand going to the small of his back where he carries his pistol under his jacket.

He relaxes when he sees it's just Bass.]

Yeah, me neither.

Whoa. [Bass holds up his hands and takes a step back, smiling a little.] Guess you get stabbed in a back a lot.

[Bored as usual, Mikey wanders into the arcade for some important video game training. Hey, Leo wanted him to train, right?

Linking his fingers and cracking them noisily, he settles down for a nice, relaxing game of Pac Man.

... except somehow, Pac Man spawns right on top of a ghost and dies instantly.]

Huh?

[That's never happened before. It shouldn't even be possible. Mike squints at the machine, then hits the button for another try.

Pac Man spawns and happily wakka-wakkas forward eating pills, until he runs into a wall and doesn't come through the other side. He wriggles the joystick, but the ghosts catch up and kill him.]

What the hell?
