Will "The Love" fandom survive this bearding?

For me this engagement feels like the final nail in the coffin. If they are going to such lengths to suggest that George is straight that means they will never allow Nick and Greg's character to be together.

I've been lurking for several years now, but with all the new stuff going on, I couldn't help but make a post. I wanted to address the whole "engagement" issue and entertain the possibility that Eric and George are still together. I'd like to hear what you guys think!
