In a New York Minute

I find that a lot can happen in a little time in New York.  With so many people I guess big things are happening all the time.  Really the point is, he broke up with me.  He had me meet him at the IMAGINE circle in Central Park, in the rain no less, we walked to a waterside gazeebo to escape nature, and he told me that he didn't want to date me ( Read more... )

No one breaks hearts as hard as boys...feel free to give yourself some time to recover. I think sometimes we feel like we have to get over people quickly- in order to prove that we're strong and such- or to meet new people immediately- to convince ourselves that we're not the problem...in the end though; the people that we're close to occupy our favorite memories...and there are lots of little things to remind you of how much losing half of you hurts...

so be sad. And be an actor and use it. And see the city from this new angle. And call your wife; she misses your smile. You are such a gem, my lovely. And one of the best things about you is your unfaltering openness...

lest we forget, girls'll do a quite a number, too. but we get better. not, you know, quickly with the guilt and the loneliness, but we feel better.
