Goodbye from the land of Oz........

Less than a week left in this fine country (5 days in fact). And a week till i see Brendan again. So kind of a bitter sweet time. Still here, still in Sydney, still doing pretty much nothing. But, the difference now kids is that i have plans. I have doctors and dentists appointments, trips to friends planned and parties to go to. And above all i've worked out where Harry Potter will be cheapest and have planned the event of getting up and buying it (because here it comes on ( Read more... )

So maybe i didn't update as soon as i arrived in Sydney. I've been here for 2 weeks now, one of those weeks with Brendan and then he left me last Thursday to do the east coast. I'll be seeing him again when i go to NZ in a month (did i update on my new plans?). Still doesn't mean that i'm not missing him like crazy, but i get to spend another month ( Read more... )

I'm in Darwin, leaving tomorrow, going to see "big rock", have been to see Kakadu..... many things, will update once back in Sydney (next week).

Change of plan, we're not hiring a 4wd we're flying, it means we miss a few bits but really not too much and its so much cheaper and quicker as i'm very quickly running out of time. We've now made it to Broome. We got here via another national park, so amazing. The first gorge we went down, we got to the end of the proper walking bit (ie. the bit where theres handrails and ropes to climb up and down things) and then we stripped down to undies and swam across the pool and carried on. I forgot all about another fun thing i did when i updated yesterday but Brendan reminded me. We went on a hike (when i went on similar "hikes" as a child with my family they were just "walks" but the Canadian/American influence won out there, also there was some scrambling (climbing in normal terms but the sign said scrambling)).
