Aspartame, in things such as diet coke, is only a real harm if you are a rat connected to a tube that constantly forces the intake. Yes, it is harmful but in extremely large amounts.
I see how it's fucked though. But at least they're doing something good?

That is true. The information I read pertains more to people that drink three or four cans a day.
Excessive, prolonged use can lead to toxicity though.
I suppose they are doing something good. I always question reasons though.
There are always ulterior motives when it comes to comglomerates like that. They put on the nicest clothes and flashiest smile and display themselves as if they are acting selflessly, purely to benefit a good cause.
I think it is just to sharpen their image and rake in some cash at the expense or peoples' health.
Maybe I am just cynical.

im taking nutrition and there are no actual studies that prove aspartame is bad for you
