I joined Engineers Without Borders, and now I and about ten others (I'm actually the project lead...whoa!) from the group are starting a new project--the design of rainwater collection cisterns to be installed on people's roofs. I like my new job. I work out at Oak Ridge, the land of radioactive water and green glowing deer; the land of showing your badge and the eerie quiet of a no-fly zone. On our way from Kingston to Ocho Rios, we stayed in a Bed & Breakfast in Christiana. This is a very rural area of Jamaica, high in elevation. It was surprisingly cool--for the first time on the trip, I needed a long-sleeved shirt. Across the road from our hotel was a high school athletic field.
