now there's a fat little finch sitting in the garden beside the stoop. he's not going anywhere and when i talk to him he opens his mouth like i'm going to feed him. i told him there's no way i'm going to hunt worms for him. i will call him Atticus Finch. but really, what's up with the bird situation in these parts?

something is up with the crows.

every time i stand on my stoop i see a crow flying east with a stick in its mouth.
are they building themselves a city?
is it crow nesting season?
are they beating each other with sticks?
do crows eat wood?

i'm on my fourth cuppajoe and see no signs of slowing down.
