i think today might be the day to get the old artificial tree out of the loft. it's our first christmas where we are going to make an honest effort. now that we have a little person running around, there's no place for our lazy holiday making (or lack there of). and yes, there will be baking. i'm kind of shocked at myself. well see how it goes ( Read more... )

eleanor and i went to a very wet and muddy park today. she wore her wellies and found a nice big fat mud puddle. she stood in it for 5 seconds, lost her balance, and fell on her butt. being a kid is about being covered in mud. on the walk home, she happily ate a clementine and was put straight into a bath once we got through the front door.

i'm crying with happiness! of course i was asleep when the result came in (4:30 am) but i'll always remember this day. fucking amazing. the words i'm reading now... "Victory for Obama"!
