Sad News

I got a phone call from my mother this morning to tell me that our family cat Mike passed away yesterday. He died of old age and he was relatively comfortable. When dustinw and kabuki_mask and I visited this past weekend, he was terribly skinny, but very friendly and he was constantly purring and rubbing around our legs. You could feel his vertebrae very clearly

I'm so sorry to hear about Mike. He was such a sweet old gent. I'm glad that you had a chance to say goodbye.

Oh, I'm so sorry, Erin! My brother's old dog (I lived at their house for a while in high school, so he was sort of my dog too) had to be put down last week, so I can really sympathize! I think the worst part is how it always seems so empty, when you go back to the house where a pet always was before.

It sucks.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog too. My parents lost their favourite dog ever last year and still haven't gotten over it. We're firm believers in grieving for awhile and then getting more pets though (we've had every kind of pet you can possibly imagine over the years

Hey Erin, sorry to hear about your cat. I was pretty upset when my parent's cat - Inky whom we've had since I was seven- passed away a few years ago. I almost feel like I've lost a cat myself being here so far away from Misha. xxx
