Today is our last day in Hawaii. It's been amazing here and we're going to be really sad to leave the beaches and the beautiful weather and dustinw's wonderful sister, but I'm also excited to get back to the Loo to see everyone, catch up with my kittens, and check on our veggie garden! Well, dustinw and I have been in Hawaii for 3 days now. We're staying with his sister in Waikiki on the island of Oahu. Waikiki is a bit of a tourist trap, but you only have to drive minutes in any direction to get into some incredible scenery, and we are 3 blocks from the ocean ( Read more... )

Yay - I passed my comprehensive exam!!! Well, I'm one week in to the dreaded comprehensive exam.  So far it really isn't all that bad.  I have 3 weeks to write 10,000 words on my favourite theoretical topics.  Actually, I've already surpassed 10,000 words, so I am working on cutting back in order to add much more in.
