Shock and amazement! I've been visited by a Pirate muse or three, and have a wee bit of something to share. For your reading pleasure, I present a vignette and a ... erm, double-drabble thingie. :-)
Wonderful! I love to see Will written the way he is in the movie, quiet but determined and so very very strong inside and out. You've captured both of them beautifully in the vignette; I love the fact that he sees Elizabeth flying after her dreams but knows that he is right there with her if he wants to be.
And this last little bit? YES. She did not know him until that moment, and then only to know that she did not.
Lovely, lovely, lovely stuff! I'm so grateful that fabu recommended them. (And yup, that's her icon.;-)
I don't think I've seen you here before, have I? Welcome to my world. ;-) I may not post often, but when I do, it pleases me to no end to hear people find it worth reading.
Meanwhile, thank you so much for such kind and thoughtful comments! You saw what I intended to portray, which makes me a very happy little pirate. And bless Fabu for sending you this way! :-) Thank you once again! Cheers ~

"But we can't just ..." Elizabeth caught herself on the barb of her own hesitation, eyes sparkling, smile gleaming white. She spun away and seized her skirts, and stopped short again, just where he could admire the clean, smooth curve of her throat as she turned her face to the sea. "Yes," she said fiercely, and looked at him with glory in her eyes. "Yes, we can!"
Ooh, I love it when I can feel the pulse of writing. :)

Until fantasy and nightmares collided, while curses and coins forged their own grim reality. In one great detonation of thunder and strewn timbers, her dreams collapsed into the sea. Love that...curses and coins....detonations of thunder and strewn timbers. Guh!
Very nice to have something so delightful, glad the muse decided to make a reappearance. Will is often shown as stick but you've let both Will and Elizabeth look to fly again. It's hard to accept the constraints once one has tasted freedom. Very good call.

Thank you, Rennie! *beams happily* I'm so glad you liked my doodles. Are you able to do some occasional writing, too, between run-ins with Real Life? I hope so! :-) Cheers ~

RL is pretty invasive right now but have been doing some writing. Chap. 10 of Kettle is almost done, Chap. 11 half done, Chap. 8 of Special Delivery is begun (barely). I even resurrected the very first PotC story I began ages ago and never progressed with. Will post as the stages finish. Also have a PotC plot bunny from Order of Chaos that followed me home and sank its teeth into my table leg. And school's starting soon. Colour me ambitious.
Hehhehhehheh ... Zounds, my nefarious plot is uncovered!
Of course I'm trying to turn you into a Will-fan! LOL! Seriously, though - gosh, I am so delighted my scribbles had such an affect on you. If I do nothing else all day, I'm happy. *G* Thank you!!! Cheers ~

Oh my word, I liked the first, but the second? Are you trying to kill me here? Or just turn me into a Will-fan? lol.
