My 73 yo neighbor just tried to do the Dutch with a .22 to the side of the head - still breathing, they flew him to San Antonio. I hope he doesnt make it, he'll be a vegetable. Moral: use at least a 9mm, a .45 is best.

The anti climax
So I finally got in to see the neurosurgeon on Monday. The previous Friday I had decided WTF, ima go in straight, stop all the drugs, let the spasms spazz, the nerve root roar, let him see all my symptoms in their native state. So Saturday-nothing. Three more days till the Nuerosurgeon appointment. I wish I could just sleep until then. And the meds are not masking the nerve spasms as well now, I'm starting to get them with activities that several days ago were completely benign. Le sigh.

Drugs
So the worst part of the three drug cocktail I'm taking to keep my back from making my life unbearable while I wait for a neurosurgeon to fix me is that A) they don't get me high B) they make me stupid - my vocabulary has gone to hell, and C) I have the attention span of a goldfish, which makes reading anything over one paragraph a challenge. So this makes six weeks since I have been "down in the back" as they say in Mason county. I'm trying to get in to see a Nuerosurgery guy, but the backup is pretty fierce and meanwhile my condition deteriorates. Le sigh. More drugs, less intelligence, longer hours flat on my back with the cat on my lap.
