Today was the first time in a couple of months that all the staff was back in the office. It. was. great. Didn't realize how much I missed just the flow of people up and down the halls. Some of the high school kids came to visit. We had different visitors. It was good. Damn I'm glad it's September and now things can run normally.

Well summer is over and I'm back to posting in my blog. As far as summers go it was fairly uneventful. Worked, went out a bit, the sun shone, the raindrops fell. You get the picture. It has been a glorious 4 day weekend, the sun has shone every day and today is Canada Day. So I am currently stuffed from having had breakfast up on the roof top deck. I love living in my apt. Well I volunteered a second day at the Leo Awards. This was more a "gala" evening with a red carpet and the like. All the actors were present for this one. Was lots of fun if not a bit tiring. Lots of mini events in the last few weeks. Work has fallen into the too-many-balls-in-the-air scenario, hopefully now that we've increased some of the hours for my staff this will not be so much of a hassle. Well the street and our parking lot at work have been overtaken by film crews this week. They are filming some sort of MOTW for Nickelodeon. I think it's their version of High School Musical. Who knows? We were disappointed though that we didn't get free catered meals as part of the deal for filming nor are we in any scenes as extras. Hmmm... ( Read more... )

So I appear to have some strange itchy scratch eye tearing thing going on. It could be possibly allergies except it's only affecting one eye? It started yesterday after I put in my contacts and it felt as if I had a speck of dirt under the lens. Grr...Since then my eye is looking irritated and the eyelid seems somewhat swollen.
