I learned how to write my name in Arabic today, all by myself!

I think I'm up to almost a preschool reading level.

Amber's dad (seemingly) approves of me, I'm taking awesome classes this fall, I got hired as the Student Manager at Cascades (a plum compared to regular grunt at McAlister's, and a damn sight better than the BK lounge), AND the liquor by the drink vote passed in Boone.

Life is good.

SO, I have myself a summer job at good ol' Burger King, which is just as boring as I remember it being. Actually, if anything, it's even more mindless. I don't think the system here was designed to handle a full-time employee with benefits becoming a student, especially a student who is still employed in the same unit. So, yeah, next week is going to be Hell. Monday I have a paper about Genghis Kahn due in World Civ. One Tuesday I have to turn in my research paper for American Lit. Wednesday I'll have an exam in Chemistry followed by an exam in World Civ. Thursday is when my writing portfolio is due, which I still need to gather together and finish editing. ( Read more... )
