Taiwan 2023 (part 1 - Taipei, Kinmen)
We got back last Friday (like early morning) so through a week of work already.

It's been a while. Sorry everyone! It's cliché but I've been pretty busy at work, which makes me tired. And that leads to me not prioritizing journaling.

What we do for our pets
Over the long weekend, I built my pond! There are some... issues, but we'll talk about it later.
As backstory, one of my nephews found a turtle as a baby (taking a walk around a lake) and raised it... until he got bored of it (damn kids). So my father-in-law took care of it until he had to travel for long periods due to health reasons. So it ( Read more... ) -
Mayday
It seems like my posting frequency really dropped to about once a month. Ugh, but I've been feeling extra busy at home in addition to work now.
Recently, I feel like I've been doing lots of house stuff. Last weekend, I moved like 70 bags of rocks (1/2 cubic feet; ~50 lbs)! Since our backyard was dug up from the construction, we added rocks ( ( Read more... ) -

I guess March went by without a post. But things have been good.
Construction finally is done (?), pending the last items that Angie will report to the contractor. They pretty much finished up on Friday and this weekend has been LOTS of cleaning. And by cleaning, its been hardcore cleaning where we basically had our living area of our home ( Read more... ) -

Since Petra is such a large site, we broke it up in two days. There was a trail that went to the "High Place of Sacrifice" which is a long and tough (climbing) trail.
