The play had gone well. While a part of him wished he could have made it down to Comic Con to see Karl and Zach, Chris had put that out of his mind, focusing entirely on the performance. By the time he walked out the stage door he was tired, yet riding that high from a night where everything had gone right. He’d signed a few autographs, even

A shrill beep broke through the short silence following his words, and made them all jump. Well, everyone but Uhura. It seemed to have emanated from a computer-like thing on the desk nearby, something on the screen flashing, and Karl was the first up and over to inspect it. "A communication request. From Ensign Joanna McCoy. That's Bones' daughter, right? I better...yeah ( ... )

He stepped back with a smile. "I'll see you later, then? Can I just find Chris and Karl by asking the computer?" Was it really that similar to the movie?

"You can," she said. She had checked their door as she and Zach left, and made sure it was set to open to their voice commands. Doing the same here, she turned and smiled back at Zach. "As soon as I find out anything, I'll let you know."

"Thank you, Nyota." He sat down on the edge of the bed, starting to tug off his boots. He felt cold, though he couldn't pinpoint why. "Is there a way to raise the temperature in here? Aren't you freezing cold?"

"I'm a little warm, actually, but that's normal. Your body--well, Spock's body temperature is higher than that of a human," she explained. "We keep the temperature in here in a range that is tolerable for both of us, but you may find it colder in other areas of the ship."

"By any chance, do you know if Spock has a sweater laying around somewhere?" Immediately coming to mind was the sweater they had used as a costume during the shooting. In fact, that very sweater...
...was with him, at the con. There was supposed to be a little charity raffle, and he had gotten to chose one item to bring with him to get auctioned off from the costume and prop departments of things that wouldn't be needed for the next movie. For some reason, of all the items, that had been the one that called to him. It was stored in its own bag under the suitcase in his room so he could deliver it to the auction.

"I'll be back as soon as I can." She smiled again as she walked out, her mind ticking through everything she needed take care of as she made her way to the bridge.

Zach tried a nipple, but found that it was mostly the fascination with his fingers that felt better than the still very good shiver that came from touching there, so he let his hand wander down to brush over flesh just starting to fill out. The heat was no different than he knew, but Nyota had told him that Spock had a higher body temperature. To a Human, the heat would have been almost too much, he guessed. Then again, Nyota was with him...
...oh. Curling his fingers around himself made him gasp lightly, daring to open his eyes again and look down. There was a moment of disorientation, the feelings coming from his body telling him one thing while the unfamiliar visual images of Spock's body told him another. He cut that off by closing his eyes again, a tiny voice in his head muttering about him being a pervert and an idiot, even as he started to move his hand ( ... )

He used it, then undressed and threw his clothes into what he hoped was a laundry chute and hopped directly into the shower stall, poking at the controls in the wall for a minute before going the Bones-voice-activation route. ("Computer? Water on, please. Oh, too hot." "Specify temperature." "Uh... thirty. Celsius. Thirty-two. Thirty-five. That's good, stop there.") It felt lovely pattering down on his tensed-up muscles, and he stood still for a few minutes, relaxing, before grabbing somebody's bottle of something off the rack and lathering himself up head to toe. Though this body felt nearly identical under his hands -- maybe a ( ... )

After some trial and error with the panel on the wall, he got the water just right. He stuck his head under the spray to soak his hair, gasping a little when the water first hit those sensitive scars. Blinking at the bottles of shower stuff, he picked one and began to wash himself slowly, enjoying the time to just ignore everything else and clear his head. Too many things were clamoring for attention in his mind, with fucking hell, I’m on the Enterprise number one on the list. He ( ... )

"They're gonna get themselves fucking arrested somehow," said Karl darkly, still leaning over Chris's shoulder to squint at Jim's last message. "And wind up on the cover of every gossip rag in existence. If they don't die first."

He stood up from his position leaning over the console, stretching and hearing his spine pop a little. Startled, he looked at the time stamp on that last message, converting the military time in his head. "Is it really lunchtime already?"
Chris was startled to realize he didn't feel hungry at all, but knew they should eat. He hadn't even thought of breakfast given all that had happened. Looking around, he spotted another device nearer the table. "You think this is the replicator?" he asked, examining it curiously.
