The General Discussion area of Gaia Online is one of the biggest scum pits ever found on the net.

WHY do I frequent this site again?

Oh yeah...the guilds where there is actually some order, peace and a general lack of porn-trolls.

I don't go to Gaia anymore, but I always thought GD was better than most of the other Gaia forums. Never liked ED. I get better debate at Stardestroyer.net (it's a sci-fi site, but they debate anything and everything).

The Guilds always seemed spammy to me.

Depends on which ones you go to I guess. Spammed topics don't bother me that much unless the topic is utterly stupid...unfortunately the avatar system invites it. Some of the ones I'm in are spammy but others actually have topics for a purpose.

But I have yet to see someone post porn in any of them just for kicks.

The GCD pwns all. Except the GST. The GST used to be the best thread, but when the clock struck 2006, all the other members told me they hated me, so now I hate them too. Just so you know the amount of hatred in circulation, I'll tell you that I wish I could kill them all.

That was pretty sucky what they did. I'm sorry to hear of it. I've got issues with a lot of the people there. Too many (not all...just too many) seem to get their kicks out of insulting and each other. It's a freaking jungle. >_

I used to go on the GD all the time.

Then it kept getting Goatse'd and generally porned so I stopped. Grr, I liked it there aswell. :|

gaia scares me... i used to see all kinds of crap in the msn chat rooms... but gaia just ... wow it is too big for me...

The fact that Gaia is rated PG-13 leaves things up to a lot of interpretation, which is why I don't like it a lot. I like the concept of designing an avatar, but some of the people there are just so annoying.
