Week 39??

No, the baby hasn't leapt ahead by four months. I just read an interesting article by a statistician saying that the most babies are actually born in week 39. I thought that the anecdotes were correct, that first babies ARE always born late. But now I'm thinking... late July? That's MY birthday timeframe. I did wonder, but maybe they do things differently in the U.S. than they did in Norway. So all the better - even more time to send good wishes your way!

Was that most babies, or most first babies?

I don't know if you read the article, but it says "On average, first babies are 0.078 weeks later than others." So more babies, including first babies, are born in Week 39 than in any other week. First babies are only something like 12 hours later on average than others.... according to this analysis!
