My mum told me ages ago that i'm too open. This summer I visited Belgrade for the 5th time.  I went to little villages in Serbia, every town had a church, but not an average church.  We'd drive through the fields on the one road that'd lead us to Belgrade and from miles away I could see the churches.  White, clean, with massive crosses that look like stars on top of Christmas trees ( Read more... )

So lately i've been confused, about everything. 
Even little things that are meant to make sense.

I am an immigrant,
I am a 'Serb.'
My entire family dating back is Serbian.
We aren't morons, not at all.  My Dad was worked as a PR for the government when he was 18, then he became a journalist, then the war started.

I went for a walk this morning by the creek.  I never realized how beautiful it was before.  It was around 11 and the sunlight was gleaming on the water.  I felt out of place as people walked their dogs blindly, ignoring everything in sight, while I stared at the skeleton trees in awe and watched the water bash against the rocks.
