In approximately 49 hours and 50 minutes I will be on the table in the surgical suite where I will acquire a new colon and may shed my ileostomy. The prospect of no more ileostomy depends on the amount of inflammation present in the small piece of my colon and the surgeons ability to make a watertight pouch. Mariscada Diablo and a bottle of Rioja for lunch (Spanish seafood paella) and probably a Bouillabaisse with a bottle of Bordeaux for early dinner; and then I would have a late night supper to add to my hedonistic engorgment: a Beef Bourguignon with by this time I wouldn't care which wine. And this menu if I were back in NYC ( ... )
