Remember huntress69, AKA creepy Cassie-bashing chick? This is apparently a theme with her. And hey, she's even promising to write fic to go with it!

The comments actually manage to be even worse than the caption: ( Cut for graphic, triggery shit about murdering women )

wank, misogyny

He's totally dreaming about eating pussy.

Hm, I actually dig genderswap fics. If both Sam and Dean became gals and ate each other's pussies, that'd be hot! I'd write it, except I've already jotted down notes for a 'They Fight Crime' fic response:
He's a bookish arachnophobic paranormal investigator in drag. She's a cold-hearted nymphomaniac barmaid with the power to see death. They fight crime!

Sam would look so sexy in a short denim skirt, being the nympho barmaid in drag. And Dean in drag, yep, that too. I've got it all visualized as porny crackfic. Femininity is awesome!

As the post's been deleted, what I was seconding was the part of the comment about liking to see characters (both men and women) explored as people in their own rights, and not solely defined by their status as boyfriends/girlfriends/husbands/wives/sexual-tension-instigators.

I don't find it "particularly misogynistic," but it hasn't escaped the gender problems inherent in both the horror and action genres. Female suffering and death is presented in an incredibly sexualized manner (long, slow, loving shots over broken, bleeding female bodies, frequently in some stage of undress, in stark contrast to who male victims are filmed), and the women we do see are relegated to fairly stereotypical roles. Ellen's in the hunter world, but she doesn't hunt -- she stays and passes the cases she finds along to male hunters. Jo wants to hunt, but we never see her play anything more than bait and victim. Mary and Jessica existed solely to die to give the Winchesters purpose. This isn't unusual, at all, but that doesn't make it any less problematic.

I really don't agree with the implication that women don't belong in the SPN universe, or that including female characters would somehow turn the show into Sex and the City or reduce Dean and Sam to love interests (IMO, it's drastically more likely that any women we get ( ... )

Ew. I guess that terribly earnest 'respect' concept that was going round for a while might have had a better focus. As opposed to 'OH WAIT SHE'S GOT A VAGINA FUCK HER'

I am not even gonna bother reading this. Your many-comment rant makes you sound even crazier. There is no excuse for your fucked up post and strange, discomforting chick-bashing. At least like, take pause and realize how fucking crazy and gross you sound.

Why is it always the real crazy ones that have SO MUCH TO SAY?

It's great, actually. They just keep GOING. And it's all very REVEALING. And everyone else gets to watch the progression with an ever-deepening sense of dreadful wonder. Like "WOW. You've REALLY SAID ENOUGH. But PLEASE. Keep right on IMPLICATING yourself. We'll just keep backing away slowly."

I did gang-rape Jonas Quinn once in SG-1, but that was for a challenge and was quite well received.

Now I'm laughing so hard I'm not going to be able to sneak out of the office early, as I'd planned today. DAMN YOU, UNINTENTIONAL COMEDY!
