I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with the political climate these days. I'm divided pretty much straight down the middle when it comes to Hillary and Obama... I like them both, but I don't love either one. I agree with a lot of what they both have to say; they (and their supporters) have both said and done things that have made me cringe or

I couldn't agree more. I have abandoned several of my liberal blogs, because the Hillary hatred is SO overwhelming. To me the attitude is that Hillary should "be a good girl and give up for the sake of the party". And it may be that continuing this fight will create problems down the line, but I don't think a man who continued to win primaries would be practically ordered to quit for the good of the party. A man would be seen as being strong and resolved and showing strength and persistence in the face of great odds. Hillary is told to sit down and be quiet. I like Obama and I like Hillary. I will vote for whichever one is the nominee. I have been disappointed at some of Hillary's attacks and statements as she tries to win, but the Republicans will be worse during the campaign and whoever the nominee is, had better be prepared for it. This whole thing is just frustrating to me.

I'm worried the Democrats are infighting too much and screwing our chances for the real contest. I eventually went for Obama but it took a lot of thinking and I'd still be THRILLED to have Hillary as President. The long term is far more important, the stakes are higher, the value of having a Democrat in charge: it's all so much more important than the individual candidate.
