Gosh, some of those comments are priceless. The Daily Mail website can be a bit addictive, can't it?

I can understand that any grandparents would be upset to have their grandkids taken away, but I think the Mail is perhaps getting a bit over-excited. I'm sure there are valid points to be made about the failures of social services, but these won't be voiced because people would rather have a nice rant about dentists, Singapore and gays "not being all that nice".

I'm amazingly addicted to it. I've never liked rollercoasters, I don't get why anyone gets that peculiar perverse pleasure from something that makes you sick and terrifies you, but having become hooked on this website, I'm slowly starting to see the pleasure of them; reading those comments made me stomach feel all knotted and my heart sink that real people are out there making them, but at the same time I just can't resist reading the next one ( ... )

Actually I'm not:

1. Does Richard "Cunt" Littlejohn even have children?! If so then he is a sick fuck for saying that he'd rather have those kids go to a probable porn ring than to a loving set of parents whatever their gender. Fucking wanker.

2. Social Services are no longer called Social Services anymore in Local Authorities. They are either called Social Care & Health or are split according to the age and amalgamated into Children & Young People's Services and Adults & Housing. Therefore the SS label is null and void down to semantics as well as the points you made.

3. As an unmarried mother who WORKS for local government I am obviously letting the side down by spending the taxpayer's money (which includes my own money that I pay in taxes - IN FULL!!!) on schools and other community services instead of getting it poured into my pocket. Silly me. And maybe I should just pull Xander out of school right now so that he can start learning the scrounging ropes ( ... )

See, I know that the news article is awful and horrible and gah, but for some reason your post made me laugh out loud. I'm going to stick with the comedy and not the tragedy of it for my own sanity I think.

Love you <3
