It's a vastly untapped aspect to HP fandom: The Black family tree alone would probably yield all sorts of interesting (read: inbred) anomalies.

The Black family tree is so big it's a jungle all by itself, some kind of a giant ivy forest that feeds of itself. It's rather frightening and looks strangely like an European monarchy family tree...

Maybe metamorphagus-ism (???XD I love new words) was caused by inbred-ism - I mean, that's a mutation if I know one...
