Somebody please tell me it's true!

Previously, I had posted that Canberra is 9 hours North of Melbourne (which I found out according to whereis.com.au), however, a good friend of mine from down south has dispelled this notion, and bet me it's only 5 - 6 hours away!!!!!!!

PLEASE SOMEONE - SAY THAT IT'S SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Canberra is 9 hours away from Melbourne as far as I know because I've been there by car and unless there is a secret route...I don't think it would be less than 9 hours (unless you sped!)

well, last time i went to canberra from melbourne it took me a whole of 8 hrs, but i went some windy path, and didn't really take breaks, so i dunno.... hehe, hope you find your answer

Well I guess I will just have to drive it and see for myself!!! I checked out another map site and it told me it was only 6.5 hours so there is some sort of Canberra/ Melbourne conspiracy happenning there, I think! Thanks for the input though dudes, much appreciated.
