I spent most of today hopped up on NeoCitron and watching Mythbusters reruns. During the commercial breaks I wrote something.

title: Hello, I'm too tired to smile today
rating: I didn't know I could write anything g rated, but here it is.
words: 2236
summary: Spencer just wants to go home. He ends up in Chicago. This is not a coincidence.

I really love this. Especially how Spencer started the phoneconversation. And how he just meant to go home. (and how everyone knew jon and ryan through Shane's anecdotes and Brendon's bitter asides) Also, also, how my iPod started playing Charlotte Sometimes' Ex-Girlfriend Syndrome and I didn't notice until it got to the "I should not be here, you know" part and it fit with spencer's thoughts and made me giggle.

very cute. I really enjoyed the premise and the writing. good job!

Thank you! I originally got the idea from a Weakerthans song, the last line of which is "So what I'm trying to say, I mean what I'm asking is, I know we haven't talked in a while, but could you come get me?"

This was completely and totally adorable. I love that Jon thinks about things he could tell Spencer and that Spencer just suddenly needed to see Jon and goes for it and all the little details you include that make this feel real.

Thank you! I worry the most about the little details, so I am glad that they worked for you.

You capture the feeling of being awake and being tired, so tired, incredibly well. I love the laziness to this, the sort of sleepwalking effect it has, and how it's just comfortable at the end. Absolutely beautiful.

Thank you! I really wanted to explore the vulnerability of being that tired and how you end up being more honest than you'd otherwise be. I'm so glad it felt real to you!
