I just washed an offbrand dress, and it would seem the lace or a part of the print that is brown has bleed onto the rest of the dress in random stains and spots :/ do you have any tips for fixing this? I am really sad about this, as the dress is brand new and I really love it. 

Does machine washing and then tumble drying a petticoat make it less poofy or does it help re-poofing it? I have heard both claims.
