:( Oh god, Eames. This is stunning, as usual. You're just knocking everything out of the park. ♥

Maybe it's faux pas to admit? But I re-read this sometimes and get a bit choked up myself, so this reaction pleases me. ♥

It reminds me of the episode of Futurama with Fry's dog. *sobbing*

Awww. I hadn't seen that, but if I remember correctly, in Japan, at some railway station or something, there's a statue of a real life dog that for the rest of his life kept waiting at the said station for his owner, who had died. So heartbreaking.

Though I have to say, I wasn't intentionally comparing Eames to a dog when I wrote this, heh. ;)

OMG. OMG. OMG. That was you? So glad to finally put a name to this fic. It broke my heart. Just a couple hundred words and it absolutely shattered me. I cried. Actual tears, cried. And everytime I think of it--which is very often--i choke up all over again. The last line just might be the most singularly devastating thing ever written in all literature.

It was me! I always meant to de-anon and give this a place here in my journal, but didn't get around to it until now. I feel honored and so very glad that you think so highly of it; thank you for your wonderful comment!

This is great, cos now I can go through your backlog. I love discovering new writers. But this fic, just wow. I recced the anon fill on my LJ way back when. Reading it again yesterday, I cried again. I'm not usually a crier, but this is just so vivid, so sad. How hope just slowly fades away into nothing. And I can see eames there, an old man, waiting for a man who's never coming. And that small fantasy, that hopeless dream, that line at the end. So devastating. I'm choking up again just writing this. Its like "the kite runner" all over again. That you can wreck me with one line, leaves me a bit awestruck.

Sorry. Rambling comment is rambling.

Please don't apologize! I'm blushing here, a little, but feel free to ramble at me whenever you like.

Maybe it's terrible of me to admit, but I'm rather fond of this; I'm glad others, like you, are as well. I hope you'll find at least some of my other writings enjoyable also. ♥
