¡I´m baaaaaaaack! And very happy for it too. It really doesn´t feel as though nearly 9 months have passed since I was last in Madrid... everything is so damn familiar - every street, every smell even (the good and the bad) and every little thing! I have a rather pesky scar on my back. Not life threatening or anything, but for a rather lame person like me it is surprisingly 'too risky' to be treated by the NHS. This morning I was semi-awake when I started trying to figure out what all the clanking was at my window. Then some metal appeared and it began to click that it was a ladder and that very soon a big fat old man was going to appear at the top of that ladder and find me lying in my bed there. When I was in Madrid I often thought that canelloni reminded me greatly of Mum's lasagne but had a bit too much salt (twas the spanish way). My day today invoved dozing off several times, stumbling around the house in my maasai blanket till noon, eating copious amounts of french cheese at lunchtime then going to see the coolest 96 year old that I know, who also had a stash of lemon and lime jaffa cakes in her kitchen.
