i'm totally frying/making bacon downstairs right now at 4 o'clock in the morning. i have class at 10, i have a little assignment due. i am procrastinating.

bacon... strips of fat and all!

*edit* what do you do with all the grease that's left...?

Drain the grease into a tin can or other container that will hold it and throw it away (do NOT pour it down your sink!!!!) some people wait until it's kind of cool to be sure it doesn't burn a hole through their garbage bag or anything too. (Listen to me, talking like this when I don't like bacon or hamburger or just about any eat you have to drain grease from. Where does this knowledge come from???)

no, no, you put it in a tin can and save it, for stuff like cooking veggies with. Mmm, green beans cooked with water and bacon grease.

I put it all in a pickle jar that I keep under the sink. some people make GRAVY out of it. jeez, can you imagine?

Whatever you do, don't pour it into a plastic cup. I watched my dad do that and, although it looked awesome, it was a big fat melted mess.
