Oh god, how sad is this... I feel heartbroken for these two.

The story is beautiful, both in what you say and what you leave unsaid. It seems like the guys somehow live in the gaps, in the space between the words. That's what makes it so powerful, I guess. (Sadly, I'm not able to express myself better as my English fails me here, sorry.)

Your Sergio is so sweet and tender and full of love, I love everything about him. The scene where he plays with the kids is just perfect! I'm not sure I fully understand Fernando's reluctance here - I've been hoping for a happy ending all through the fic.

I really, really hate that english is not my first language then I shouldn't fight so hard to find the correct words to say yo how fucking good this is, and how I loved it.

You are amazing at character development, amazing. As a reader, you can feel the evolution, you can feel the little steps of each one, you can feel how they feel. It's like, you had taken the skin of each character and then you had embrodied it on the reader skin with your way of tell the story.

And you know the story is so but so good and realistic. And bittersweet, that is perfect. Loved the end. I love open ends, I love that really nothing is totally resolved, that there is still another future. There is still a little hope.

Thanks for writing this. Congratulations, is simply beatiful.

This was so so sad and like idk touched at something I think we know about footballers--how much they give up, how much the sport is everything to them and for the shortest of careers too--and like, god, it was heartbreaking. I've been so angry at Fernando since January and been borderline gleeful whenever he doesn't score for Chelsea but I like. Your fic makes me feel bad about that. Yeah, club loyalties, but I guess this is his career, I imagine he feels wretched about this season in general idk. IDK. Anyway.

And maybe they all want to win it for him, for their captain, for the kid who lost his childhood before it began for this team. This made me tear up so hard
