Once upon a dream....

Last night was the first time I felt like I haven't made a mistake about the direction of my life. That maybe I was right, choosing writing as my career path. I'll always have doubts. If I ever get published, I will still be amazed that I actually accomplished my dream ( Read more... )

*hugs* Congratulations so very much, very, very proud ^^

It is important to hang on to other people's belief sometimes, because there is a lot of the other side of it too - people can and will be arseholes because they don't think about what the words you find for these things mean to you, and often because they don't know what they're talking about. Always do remember that people you respect - people you respect the writing of yourself - respect *your* writing. You are not obliged to weight every opinion on this equally, writing is a craft, and the people who understand that craft are the ones to listen to. So do remember those good things they said, when you have to deal with idiots. It's not arrogance. It's a way of coping with a very personal and difficult craft to deal with.

Thank you so much *hugs you back*

I'll try and keep what you said in mind whenever I feel conceited for holding all those compliments close to my heart. Thank you for your wisdom and encouragement. I really do appreciate it, very much. <3

I checked on the Touchstones online website, and they do have a free online edition - but they stopped updating it in 2009. So the most recent issues aren't available. However, the editor-in-chief of the magazine kindly provided me with a PDF file of my story, exactly as it appears in the magazine. I could email it to you if you'd like to read it. =)

I hope your weekend is going well, and that life will start looking up soon. I'm looking forward to reading more of your amazing writing this summer, too.

Much love, and take care. <3

I would love to see it if you don't mind sharing it, email away =)

I'm hoping in May my life might calm down a bit - April has been a wanker but my deadlines all end on the last day of the month, so, yay for summer? <3 I'm now completely obsessed with men in hats so I wouldn't worry reading if it's not your thing, honey, though I do always appreciate your comments, you are ever a beam of sunshine ^^ Hope it's been a good weekend, and there's been some good feedback glow staying with you =)
