Awww! Dick is adorable here, with the worship and the loveeee and how he's going to be a superhero Clark be damned.
The relationship he has with each of his parents is very defined and it's.. very much Dick, I love it. I love that Bruce is being so evil about the Robin costume, it's just perfect. In truth, he's too happy to hear Bruce refer to themselves as parents for the first time to fuss over being called the mom. I squealed at that :P Clark is so happy to have a family!
I loved this muchly. Everyone was adorable, and it was domestic bliss superhero style. Alfred being the scarier one? priceless. Of course he is, Alfred kicks ass!
WOW. Thank you very much for leaving this review--all the nice things you said, and you managed to hit every part I'd worried about not being good enough. I'm so glad you liked it.
I think I'm turning into a feedback whore--now I want to go write more to keep getting reviews like this!
I really, really liked this -- thanks for linking it in worlds_finest! The domestic view of Clark, Bruce, and Dick as a family was wonderful, the kind of thing I'd love to see as a comic but never will. Thank heavens for fanfic. *g* Your Dick is an adorable 9.5 year old, and I love the way the family dynamic shapes up between the three of them. But my favorite part might just be this: Clark raises his eyebrows in mock surprise. "What, even though you live with Batman and Superman? Not to mention Alfred."
Dick giggles. "Yeah, Alfred would totally kick his butt."
Clark rolls his eyes. The boy lives with a superpowered alien, and a man who terrifies the worst psychotics of Gotham (and occasionally Clark himself), and yet it's the butler who's 'scary'. So much love for Alfred! :)
Alfred is the unsung hero (and comedian) of the DCU. And thank you for the flattering comment--it's pretty much what I wish the writers would do. I'm happy you liked it!
Thank you! Yeah, I wanted to make Bruce cute, but the man is impossible.
And no one who can keep a mansion and underground cave spotless, cook gourmet meals, patch wounds, sew kevlar costumes, and run intereference for Bruce Wayne could be anything but terrifying. ;)

The best part, of course, is the part about Alfred being the scary one. I'm definitely with Dick on that. ;)

This is true... >.> I think it was said once that if Alfred and Martha Kent ever decided to team up, they could rule the world...
