I am just sitting here thinking

What am I doing? Why am I here? I do not know what brought me back here. Well I know the mundane normal reasons but there must be something deeper why did someone who was considered a genius and a prodigy in my field stop going to classes and get suspended from college. Wow. I almost teared up on that one!

I'd say that you went through what you went through because "things happen for a reason" but besides being completely cliche, I don't necessarily agree with that statement. Maybe it's because I'm jaded? I dunno. It's just too "pat" in my opinion. I'm not even sure why I thought of it. Of course, I am a slave to my thoughts...

Anyway... Hang onto that feeling and go with it! You're making me feel all "Invictus" right now!

I do not believe in coincidences I have seen too many patterns in my life to believe things do not happen for a reason. Everything is controlled and ultimately orderly on the large scale. I do however concede that we are creatures with free will therefore we are captains of our souls. Our lives are only for us to control. The best way to understand is by thinking in terms of Heinlein "thou art god". That being said there are still patterns everywhere and it is how we choose to respond to these patterns that makes up who we are and where we are so in a sense even though we have total control of our will many things still happen for a greater reason.
