Every summer I do the Rissho roommate program. And every year I go early to pick out my roommates. This year picked out two girls by the name of Mamie and Rumi. I emailed both of them. Mamie has never emailed me back, but Rumi and I have been sending letters back and forth to each other. I must say I was really excited to meet her... except

The Rissho Roommate Program is an international exchange program through my university and Rissho University in Tokyo. Basically, we sent 3 or 4 students to Rissho in May/June. Rissho then sends us 24 students in August for three week. When the Japanese come here they stay with an American roommate for the three weeks in a dorm. We basically befriend them and help them with their English. Its a fun program, and I'm really bummed that Rumi is going to have to miss it...

No, because they have to go through testing and a long application process to be chosen to come to my university.
