It's been really nice here for the past couple weeks--sunny, clear, and often in the 60s and even 70s! Today though, it's gray and rainy/snowy. It's funny how unused to it I am, considering this was a typical day between November and March back East. Since I started working in shops after graduating, I've taken a liking to listening to podcasts during the day. I'm usually working alone so it really makes the time go by quicker, and when I'm doing brainless tacks like gluing felt, sanding, or attaching little wooden parts to wooden rails... well, it's nice to give my brain something to do ( Read more... )

This morning I had one of those almost-flying dreams, where I have the ability to spring up into the air like I'm on a trampoline, getting higher with each jump. It's strange though, for the first jump I need some kind of tool to help launch me; this time it was a very oversized hoof-pick, mostly red plastic with a metal tab sticking out of it.
