I'm having a Lupus flare up. My white blood cell count was high at my appointment last week and my Rheumatologist thinks that my body may be attacking the baby. I went in for more blood work this morning and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Doctors never respond readily when you're waiting on the edge of your seat, do they? Bastards ( Read more... )

Oh my God, I didn't know you were preggers. Congratulations! Claudia! What a GREAT name, too.

And I didn't know you have lupus... I have fibro, so we're kinda in the same boat. I know how hard the chronic illness stuff can be. But it sounds like you really checked out your options and li'l Claudia is gonna be fine.

I don't mean this how it sounds, but it's so cool that you have fibro! It rocks finding people that can relate to me and the crap I have to go through with this illness.

Yeah, I'm knocked up. :) Due in February. On gay ass Valentine's Day, actually. But with the way things are going, I don't have to worry about her being born then!

Thanks for complimenting the name. My husband picked it out, actually.

Yeah I know what you meant -- it is a relief to find people with CFS, lupus or fibro. I sometimes feel like people think I'm making it up. But it is actually very difficult to live with one of these conditions.

Crippled people forever! Yay us!

It IS hard, because you don't look sick, so people think you're full of shit. Check out this website. It can be really cheesy, but it's cool to read that other people have the same shit to deal with from time to time. www.butyoudontlooksick.com THEY EVEN MAKE T-SHIRTS AND HOODIES!!

Claudia is going to be wonderful. Even if they have to take her by C-Section it's not like she's not going to be ready. If they have to put you on steroids then you'll be just fine also. You're going to gain a few pounds...but even doing that you're not going to look fat...and you never will.

Okay...call me! I love you!
