The conservatory director is currently in labor.

The executive director has called in sick.

Their administrative assistant isn't here yet and I don't know where she is. She's an hour and a half late.

My grandfather got into a car accident. He's fine, but he's pretty sure his truck will be considered totaled. The thing is, he's 83 years old and he shouldn't be driving in the city. But he's too stubborn to ask for help, and talking to and old coonass man is like talking to a brick wall. He just won't listen. I worry so much about him.

You've all stopped reading. I know this. I mean, who wants to read about my pregnancy? It's boring. But know this, I'm still reading your journal. I'm living vicariously through you all. So LIVE IT UP, you little bastards.

This has happened to me twice this week. I get halfway through a project on my computer and suddenly...it crashes. I was just halfway finished with making a database of contact information for about a zillion schools in Acadiana and - poof. Begone. No warning. No reason.

I've been a busy busy bee. My new job is wonderful. I'm a secretary for the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory of Music and I'm loving it. I've already been trusted with a multitude of projects to be completed solely on my own and it feels good to know that they have that much faith in me. I had a dream last night that I got a letter from the hospital that I'll be giving birth in saying that I have to bring a sack lunch to the hospital on the day of my delivery. Like it was a field trip or something. And Peter was nowhere to be found. And it was Valentine's Day. And my father was there, being very attentive.
