The 'It's been two years but we still miss it' Lie to Me Comment Ficathon

Jan 30, 2013 21:21

Tomorrow, January 31st, marks two years since this little show ended. We got a confession, some running down a hallway, a lot of crying, and a lot of blood. Not in that order.

We did achieve a semi-conclusion of some feelings, but really we were simply left with a horribly open ending. (I don't know about you, but I have a whole story in my head of what happened next, which I also wrote down on paper screen - it's called The Coldest Sky and it's coming soon-ish. Shameless plug over.)

I highly reccommend watching AnnEithne's videos to get you back into the Lie to Me world if you need it. I compiled my favourite ones here.

So, what did you wish to see next? What would you have wished to see instead? Prompts can be set pre-show, mid-show, or post-show. Anytime in the Lie to Me universe, and it'll be welcome. Any story you wish to tell (or read). Cal, Gillian, Emily, Loker, Torres, Zoe, Reynolds, Wallowski and everyone else in between are welcome here. Yes, even Wallowski (am I the only one who didn't hate her?).

Take this ficathon as a way of righting every wrong you ever had with this show; and if you had no wrongs, a way of continuing with all the rights.

RULES

I'm going to keep this really simple:

1. No bashing. Of any writer, prompt, Lie to Me character, or pairing. Everything's welcome here; if it isn't to your taste, don't read it.
2. No RPF.
3. Comment with your prompts. Character/pairing, prompt. It can be a word, a quote, a song lyric... Anything you like.
4. Label your fic responses. Character/pairing, rating and title. It makes it easier for everyone to see what you've written.
5. There can be more than one response to each prompt because that means more fic, and happier people!
6. Promote this if you please!

And just for clarity's sake (as they've said it so much better than I could), this is lifted from bitesize_bones with permission:

Wait, what are these 'comment fic' shenanigans?
Comment fic does pretty much what it says on the tin. People can comment to the meme with prompts, and anyone can write fic in response to a prompt. From the nature of the meme, fics will be comment sized but if something is particularly inspiring, feel free to write more!

I'm not a writer; how can I participate?
By prompting! If you've read an awesome fic or if someone's answered your prompt, feel free to leave feedback - hopefully it'll make people enthusiastic about writing more! Also, even if you've never written before, why not give it a shot? Comment fic is all about trying new things and anonymous commenting is on in case you're feeling shy.

Okay, so I can prompt, write, read, and leave feedback - is there anything I can't do?
There aren't a lot of restrictions here but here are the important ones:
- Don't be an asshat. Not all prompts are to everyone's taste, so please just scroll on by instead of being nasty or trolltastic. Comments of this nature will be deleted.

I've written something in the past that fits perfectly with one of the prompts given. Can I post that here?
I really don't want to reject any fic, and any reposted fic certainly won't be deleted, but the point of this comm is to stimulate and encourage new fic and new ideas.

Where is the obligatory disclaimer?
By participating in this, you are acknowledging the possibility of it containing adult content and saying that it is legal for you to do so wherever you live.

Cross-posted here, there, and everywhere. Tell your friends. Let's go!
