I can't wait for coachella festival. I get in these gitty little moods when i think or read about it. I am a little sad that about half a dozen of my friends don't want to go because its too expensive and they only want to go both days or none. And all the people who just want to wait for tool to come to az, obviously haven't seen tool before. ( Read more... )

Don't be lonely, Stan! I know I'm not an extremely close friend, but I'm going (for Tool, obviously) and only to day 2. Hasn't Shen told you? n We were totally talking about carpooling so it'll be cheaper to drive since we are all so damn poor! And I understand the excitement thing. I get like that, too.

well. rufus wainwright is my favorite singer and i was going to see him play at carnegie hall in NY, but by the time i went to look at what seats were still available [the day after they went on sale!] they were only in the balcony level. if i'm going to spend a thousand dollars [at least] to go see him play in new york, i want a good experience to validate that huge sacrifice i was willing to make. so i'm not going. for multiple reasons, not just because i'd have a balcony-level seat, because i still want to go. the above-mentioned and because i just can't afford to spend that money on seeing him. i have hardly any money saved and am supposed to be moving out in a few months to my own place, which is the big reason i am not going to either that or coachella. i can't afford to see the show AND travel great distances to see it. hell, i can't even afford to see shows here, let alone anywhere else. i want to go to both. i want to go to everything worth seeing. but want is often sacrificed for the needs relative to survival. yeah, i didn't mean to sound so nasty about all of it. the whole not making it a priotity thing, that was dumb. i just tend to forget that alot of people (not you) don't really care about music and art enough to fork out that kind of money for an andventure they could get at... oh...say, a strip clup or bar. it makes me sad. but i totally understand people not being able to afford it. the bitterness of the entry was geared toward the people that were here when we first discovered the concert not wanting to go anymore.
