I produced No Provenance for FringeNYC, and I was working on that show for the past 14 months. It closed on Saturday; now I've got more free time than I'm used to. One thing I'd like to do with that time is get into shape, because I've gained a lot of weight since college. Everybody do the mess around
I've noticed a weird trend in theatre over the past few years.*
In many of the shows I have seen or worked on, the director has included a moment when the characters make a big mess on stage. That is, a literal mess on the floor.
