stupid neighborhood

I didn't think we'd moved into a bad area, but apparently I was mistaken. First, we started noticing an unusually high number of packages not arriving to our house. I'm sorry. If you have time you might try walking your neighborhood a bit tomorrow. Thieves often throw away a lot of the contents of the bags they steal and even the bags themselves after they get out of sight of the people they stole from. It happened when I was mugged and I've heard of it happening to others too.

Yeah, this morning I actually recovered the purse (with my checkbook still inside) and my wallet (empty except for my insurance cards). I guess it's better than nothing.

Oh wow, I'd forgotten about that. I've slowly lost almost all of my pirate gear. I should go dumpster diving again after Halloween this year.
