snow this early in october is crazy. i think its only going to get worse. i predict this will be the worst winter we've had in years.

Yeah, whatever happened to global warming? I just hope I don't crash my car or that it breaks down b/c of the weather, I can't afford it.

I've always had more problems with people hitting me (my car, specifically) in the winter than I've had with hitting other things. It's generally SUVs and other heavy vehicles with their drivers in a hurry, my rear bumper bears witness. Most Escorts don't have ABS, also something to look out for. Overall mine has done pretty well in the snow though. Watch out for your tailpipe/muffler rusting out, mine went with just 33K or so on the odometer. You'll definitely know if and when it starts to go.

Mine has 200,000 miles, a crackes windshield (minor crack), a hole in the muffler, and the gas tank smelled again when I filled it yesterday. Also, it has a bit of a delay starting after class. Not a good sign so soon.
