Gotta confess I'm almost sorta kinda getting really maybe excited about the X-Files movie. I know that's a bad bad thing to say for someone who spent the better part of four years of her life more or less devoted to the show/fandom and fanfiction community. For me, 2002-2005 was LORD OF THE RINGS FANDOM 24/7. (and a little parenting thrown in there.) LOL!

I don't regret one moment.

In unrelated news, a friend of mine is a Communications Prof. at Cal Lutheran and her thesis this year is Boys Love/Yaoi.

Actually she's already done a ton of research on the subject! I think of you when she posts, and think of her when you post. I should introduce....she might be able to use you in a paper or somethin' :D

LOL! Small world. I wouldn't call myself an expert by any means in yaoi as a genre--there's tons of folks who've been at it a lot longer than me. It just happens that the fact I'm learning Japanese helps me read the native untranslated versions (which are much better and MUCH cheaper!). But where we gotta sneak around with our slash, the Japanese sell it on the front shelf, you know? It's a funny thing. That in some countries our fandoming is a paid career. Here's hoping that my growing bilingualism will float me overseas sooner than later!

Keep hearing great things about The Hobbit. Not nearly as excited as I was for LOTR but sounds promising. Ja ne!

And sorry, Euro, I tried. Although I have NO fucking clue what that means. Does that mean it won't load? -rolls eyes- Also, I finally watched all of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. So we can squee about that, now. XD

I think it says something about insufficient memory. And it could be Chinese. Likely is because there's no Japanese kana to denote parts of speech.

I have fingers crossed that it won't be awful. The storyline and filming has been total secrecy. Our local tv reviewer says that sometimes that can be a bad sign.

Anyway dee-lighted to stop by and see that you have continued dying dream!!
